Challenge
Nike’s e-commerce photography teams were responsible for producing thousands of product images each week—visuals that needed to not only showcase performance gear but also reflect Nike’s editorial voice and brand energy. The challenge was scale and nuance: how to elevate the visual language of high-volume e-commerce photography so that every image—whether a shoe, a jacket, or a detail—felt unmistakably Nike.
Solution + Impact
As Photo Art Director, I worked with Nike’s internal studio teams and agency partner to bring greater intention, cohesion, and brand alignment to e-commerce photography across product categories.
Key contributions included:
Art directing daily on-set productions, collaborating with stylists, photographers, and producers to ensure every frame aligned with Nike’s global editorial and design standards.
Defining lighting, styling, and compositional systems that merged functional clarity with Nike’s aspirational visual tone.
Partnering with creative leadership to refine shot lists, set design, and post-production workflows for efficiency and consistency.
Managing the production of thousands of images weekly, maintaining both creative quality and operational precision across multiple studio teams.
The result was a refined e-commerce aesthetic that felt less transactional and more storytelling-driven—each image contributing to the brand’s larger creative ecosystem.
